LunaTik developing new military grade iPhone 4/4S case
LunaTik has again taken its latest project to Kickstarter seeking crowd sourced funding for its latest project, TakTik. TakTik is a new military grade iPhone 4/4S case that incorporates a shockproof suspension system with a 9mm impact truss and what it calls a Ballastik Bezel. It also comes with the option of a custom-made Gorilla Glass lens protector for additional protection as the video below shows.
Additional features of the case include Gore Acoustic water and dust resistant mic and speaker covers and a 3.5mm headphone port cover made from anodized aircraft grade aluminum. The 30-pin port is also protected with a cover that quickly flips down for easy access. The makers have also incorporates a silence switch and say that the whole enclosure does not affect signal reception. LunaTik also says that it is already working on an iPhone 5/sixth-generation iPhone case as well that will arrive before the holiday season.
At the time of writing, the project had already exceeded its project funding goal of $150,000 with $194,000 pledged already. Pledges start at $1 and through to two top of the range packages for $250. The Future Proof Pack also includes an iPhone 5 case among other benefits, while the Mix ‘n Match Pack includes a range of different colored parts to create customized looks.
