Said to be low-end model running Android 4.0
Samsung may be preparing to roll out an Android handset to capture the low- and mid-range device market. Images of such a phone have emerged on the Samsung-dedicated blog Sammy Hub. The leaked photo, which shows a handset with a BlackBerry-style hardware keyboard, was accompanied by details on the phone's specs, which seem to indicate it is bound for the low-end market.
In addition to the hardware keyboard, the phone sports a proximity sensor on its front face and what may be a front-facing camera. The back end has a camera of unspecified resolution and apparently no LED flash.
The device, known for now as the GT-B5330, purportedly has 3G support and a 320x240 QVGA display. Benchmark tests have shown that the phone runs Android 4.0.4 on a CPU with a max frequency of 850MHz.
Aside from these details, all that is known is that the phone was spotted in China, which makes that the most likely market for its initial launch. The phone is the second unreleased model with a hardware keyboard to be sighted recently. [via Sammy Hub]
