Gaikai cloud gaming comes to Samsung TVs as closed beta

First 150 approved beta testers will get free Logitech gamepad

Before Gaikai was sold off to Sony, the cloud gaming company committed to bringing its services as part of smaller deals to LG and Samsung products. Despite that buyout, Samsung has gone ahead and began offering closed betas of the service's games on its LED 7000 or better connected HDTVs. This does require the sets to have the latest 1023.0 firmware preloaded, however, along with the Gaikai app.

The first 150 accepted testers into the Early Access Program will also get a free Logitech game pad. Those who don't can use any Xinput controller. The Samsung Cloud Gaming app is in version 9.1121 and is a 20.4MB download.

Samsung and Gaikai may extend the beta to TVs made before 2012 as time goes on. [via PCPerspective]
