Bluetooth Special Interest Group reveals more on Sony handset
A rumored "premium product line" Sony smartphone has surfaced in a Bluetooth Special Interest Group posting. A phone with the model number LT30p will have a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, capable of recording at 1080p, joined by a front-facing camera supporting 720p. 13MP is well beyond the rear cameras on most phones; likewise, 720p is a higher resolution than most front cameras allow.
Although no image is supplied in the posting, it describes the phone as having "an attractive ARC design with metal back cover." It also mentions a 4.6-inch, 1280x720 display, a thickness of 0.35 inches, and weight under 5 ounces. Previous rumors have mentioned a Snapdragon S4 processor and Android 4.0 as the operating system.
Although there is no official word from Sony on the device, the post suggests it will be available worldwide. [via Phone Arena]
