Verizon Droid Incredible 4G LTE sees steep discount

Droid Incredible 4G LTE $150 or less on contract

Verizon is offering a big discount for customers purchasing HTC's Droid Incredible 4G LTE smartphone. Customers buying online at Verizon's site can take advantage of an online discount to get the smartphone for $150 with a two-year contract agreement. At LetsTalk, the handset is available for even lower: with a two-year contract, customers can get the phone for $40.

The Droid Incredible 4G LTE has a 4.65-inch, 1280x720 Super LCD display, 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and 1GB of RAM. It also packs 8GB of internal storage, expandable by way of a microSD card.

Electronista went hands-on with the handset earlier this year. We found it to be a suitable device, with no perceivable performance hits resulting from HTC throttling its chip speed down to 1.2GHz from 1.5GHz. The screen may be suitable for users that don't like the unwieldiness of larger Android competitors, but the choice of Super LCD over AMOLED Pentile technology makes for less vibrant colors, which could be a detractor when using the phone for watching media.
