Range of Smart Cover-like cases

Asus has revealed its line of covers meant to go with the Nexus 7 tablet the company developed in partnership with Google. In a message on the company's Twitter feed, Asus showed off a range of colors that the covers will be available in. The tweet simply stated "And we've got things covered. #Nexus7" and presented users with an array of covers similar in design to Apple's Smart Covers.

The Nexus 7 covers will wrap around the back of the tablet as well as protecting the screen. The Asus tweet shows the covers available in light blue, orange, beige, pink, aqua, and black.

Covers and other accessories were announced for the Nexus 7 at its Google I/O debut, but details on their release remain sketchy. Asus previously announced an audio dock for the tablet, due out later this summer. The company has yet to set any certain date, even though the Nexus 7 itself is expected to start shipping next week.
