Beta features mean motion controls soon to hit Chrome

Google gives developers access to user cameras, microphones
The version of the Chrome Beta released yesterday included new APIs that allow developers access to a device's camera and microphone, with user permission. The new features were announced in a post on The Chromium Blog. The new permissions are aimed at increasing the quality of video and audio communication on Google's browser.
The new APIs are the getUserMedia API and the Gamepad Javascript API. The getUserMedia API gives users the option to grant access to their camera and microphone without the need for a plug-in. This API can be combined with CSS filters and WebGL to render effects while the camera captures video.
The Gamepad Javascript API allows Chrome to accept input from any standard gamepad connected to a user's machine. Google has previously shown off the gesture-enabled capabilities it was planning for its browser, but now independent developers will have the ability to make content using the APIs.
