Retina MacBook Pro shipping times fall to 2-3 weeks

updated 09:39 am EDT, Fri July 13, 2012

Times improving worldwide

Shipping estimates for Retina MacBook Pros are beginning to improve, checks show. At the US online store, delays are now down to 2 to 3 weeks, having ballooned to 3 to 4 weeks about a day after the computer's June 11th debut. The shortened 2-3 week window is also being reported in Australia, the Americas, and at least some European countries.

Among Pros in general, demand appears to be skewed toward the Retina models. Non-Retina systems are listed as "in stock" in the US, meaning they should ship as soon as possible after orders are processed. Apple has made comparatively fewer changes to them, mostly upgrading their specifications to modern hardware. The Retina models, by contrast, not only have higher-resolution displays, but thinner frames and default SSD storage.

Greetings. I am unable to delete my posts, and apparently you moderators are on some kind of a strike.

Therefore, I have removed the content of the original post by hand.

I am asking for this post to be deleted, since I don't seem to have the option to do that myself.
