Facebook blocks imgur

Facebook appears to be blocking posts from popular image hosting site imgur. Users attempting to post material with an imgur link will encounter a pop-up message telling them "The content you're trying to share includes a link that's been blocked for being spammy or unsafe." Facebook has made no other announcements on its blocking of the site, and a request for more information from the social network has yet to be answered.

VX2703mh-LED priced at $299

Display and consumer electronics maker ViewSonic announced today a new high performance, energy efficient display. The VX2703mh-LED is a 27-inch monitor with a 10,000,000:1 MEGA Dynamic Contrast Ratio, built-in SRS Premium Sound speakers, and a 1920x1080 resolution. The monitor has DVI, VGA, and HDMI ports. On the eco-friendly side, it contains a mercury-free LED backlighting, an ECO-Mode setting, and a power-saving feature. The VX2073mh-LED is slated to arrive in North America later this month, and it will be available for $299.

Google announces App Engine pricing

Google has announced the pricing model for its App Engine cloud service. The service allows users to create and host apps on Google's cloud platform. The service is offered in three pricing tiers. The free model offers access to dynamic scaling, Java runtimes, Python runtimes, and Go runtimes. The Paid tier costs $9 per app per month and includes all of the free model's offerings, but it adds usage based pricing, infinite scalability, and SLA. The Premium package, at $500 per account per month, offers all of the Paid package's features as well as operational support.

Users on any of the tiers will have access to the Google Plugin for Eclipse, graph history, request logs, and developer access control.
