iTunes in the Cloud movie support extends to UK, elsewhere

Separate from iTunes Match growth

(Updated with additional countries) Movie support has been added to iTunes in the Cloud in three more regions. The UK, Canada, and Columbia now have access to the feature, which ensures that movies bought on one device are automatically available for download elsewhere. Previously the countries could only use the option for music, apps, books, and music videos.

The change is coming separate from an expected iTunes Match expansion in Poland and Hungary. Those countries can in fact only sync apps and books via iTunes in the Cloud, leaving out music, arguably the platform's main purpose.

Update: Many more regions are now being reported as having movie support. The full list of new countries includes many more South American nations, namely Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela. New Asian-Pacific regions include Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. In Europe, Ireland Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary have been added, but not Poland.

Update 2: Australia and New Zealand also appear to have been added.
