V720 series to launch to feature Ivy Bridge processors
LG has unveiled a new line of all-in-one PCs on the company's Flickr page. The V720 series consists of two models meant to address the higher and mid-range segments of the PC market. The V720 line is expected to launch in Asia some time in the next month.
Both V720 models will feature 27-inch IPS HD panels and Intel Ivy Bridge processors. The higher-end model will have a 3rd-generation Core i5 and an IPS 1920x1080 3D panel. The lower-end model will feature a 2nd-generation Core i3 with the same display and an Nvidia GT640M 1GB graphics card.
A translated version of LG's page appears to state that the PCs will launch in about 23 days. LG's new offerings are in keeping with recent trends, which have seen PC makers moving more toward offering all-in-one PCs at the expense of traditional desktops, due largely to demand for the more versatile form factors.
