CompanionLink Mac connects Android to Mac OS applications
CompanionLink Software has announced the availability of its Android-to-Mac Address Book and iCal application package. Features currently included are USB and wireless sync options, and Outlook for Mac 2011 synchronization with Android. Coming soon to the package are Outlook PC and Mac sync, and PC and Mac database synchronization. CompanionLink for Mac is available now with a retail price of $50. An optional three-month subscription to the package is available for $15.
Missing Manual, Pocket Guide OS X books updated by O'Reilly
O'Reilly has updated its suite of OS X companion books to keep pace with Apple's new OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion release. Available now are OS X Mountain Lion: The Missing Manual by David Pogue, covering 200 new features in OS X. Also available are the OS X Mountain Lion Pocket Guide by Chris Seibold, giving the reader the concise information that is needed to start using OS X Mountain Lion. The OS X Mountain Lion : The Missing Manual retails for $35, and the Mountain Lion Pocket Guide sells for $15.
Aspyr discounts Retina display games for Mountain Lion launch
Commemorating the OS X Mountain Lion launch, Aspyr has unveiled a sale on some of its Mac game ports. For a limited time, Company of Heroes: Complete is 60 percent off, at $20. Also available at a temporary lower price is Civilization V: Campaign Edition for $30, a 25 percent savings; Doom 3 for 10 percent off at $9; real-time strategy game Star Wars: Empire at War for $27; and Quake IV for $18.
