Includes 64GB storage, 10 hour battery life
Specifications for Lenovo's upcoming Windows 8 tablet may have have leaked online. Photos and a specification sheet for the Thinkpad Tablet 2 were allegedly sent to Techin5 by an anonymous source, who claims the 10.1-inch tablet will have a 1366x768 resolution IPS display and a battery life that will last longer than 10 hours, as well as a fingerprint reader and NFC capabilities.
Weighing 1.4 pounds and at 0.38 inches thick, the Thinkpad Tablet 2 is said to be powered by a dual-core Intel Atom processor with integrated Intel graphics, 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. A front-facing two-megapixel camera is joined by an eight-megapixel rear-facing counterpart, as well as a mini-HDMI port, GPS, MicroSD slot, Bluetooth, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and HSPA+ and LTE connectivity.
Although there is no mention of an expected release date for the follow-up to last year's effort, there is an image showing a keyboard dock, complete with what appears to be chiclet keys and central red TrackPoint for mouse control.
