Portable device plays eight hours on one battery charge

Gadget-maker Scosche Industries has announced the availability of the BoomStream Bluetooth 2.1 wireless media speaker. A built-in microphone can be used for speakerphone capability with either Android or iOS devices.

The BoomStream features dual 40mm drivers and a down-firing passive subwoofer for enhanced bass. A 1200 mA lithium polymer battery provides up to eight hours of continuous playback, or can be used to charge a smartphone from the USB charging port on the speaker.

"With the overwhelming success of our BoomCan portable speaker, we knew we had to offer a wireless option," said Kas Alves, Executive VP of Scosche Industries. Scosche's BoomStream is available now for $100, and ships with charging and audio cables.
