Upcoming Xperia tablet will arrive in September starting at $400
A newly updated XDA Developers forum thread has revealed new photos of Sony's upcoming Xperia-branded tablet, along with some other key information. The design mirrors that of the Tablet S that launched in 2011, though it is thinner. Otherwise, the tablet gets the same 9.4-inch, 1,280x800-pixel touchscreen.
Other specs include a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, an eight-megapixel rear and one-megapixel front camera. Android 4.0 or newer will be preloaded on all versions of the tablet from launch. The tablet is said to have a 6,000mAh battery onboard. The magnesium-aluminum alloy body should weigh 570 grams.
The device should be sold starting sometime in September, according to the source, with prices allegedly set to start at $400 for a 16GB version, $500 for the 32GB version, and $600 for the 64GB model. [via UnwiredView]
