Verizon tops customer satisfaction

Verizon Wireless once again claimed the top spot among US carriers in terms of customer loyalty. The company reported today that its second quarter churn rate was 0.84 percent. Verizon edged out the unnamed second place finisher, which tallied a 0.97 percent churn rate. Third and fourth place carriers saw churn rates of 1.79 and 2.1 percent. Churn measures the percentage of customers who leave their wireless providers in a given period. Verizon's churn figures represent only wireless customers with postpaid contracts.

Spotify Radio gets thumbs up/down

Spotify's Radio function received an update today; one allowing users to give a thumbs up or down to a song. Songs receiving a thumbs up will be saved to a "Liked from Radio" playlist that users can access later. The feature is rolling out today and has already been pushed to the Spotify for Android app.

Michael Jackson The Experience now on iPhone

Ubisoft announced today that Michael Jackson The Experience is now available for the iPhone. The rhythm-based game takes players on a tour of Jackson's pop library, with gesture-based gameplay driving the on-screen choreography. Songs included with the app are "Beat It," "Smooth Criminal," "Speed Demon," "Leave Me Alone," "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough," and "Blood On The Dance Floor." Additional songs are available as in-app purchases. The game is available in the App Store for $3.

Interesting headline. Verizon tops, Spotify likes, Michael Jackson. It's reasonable that Spotify likes Michael Jackson, but I wonder how a telecom giant "tops" a dead pop superstar.
