Green headphones use 40mm neodymium drivers

Gaming accessory producer Razer has shown off its new headset at GamesCom in Germany. The Kraken Pro Gaming headset is claimed to be designed with comfort in mind for players of time-consuming games such as World of Warcraft, with an optimal weight and "snugness" determined after extensive testing with professional gamers.

The bright-green headset weighs 0.65 pounds and uses 40mm neodymium magnet drivers, tuned for high and mid-range sounds as well as deep bass tones. A foldable closed ear cup design with plush circumaural padding helps with sound isolation, while a fully retractable microphone boom can be pulled out when required for in-game voice communication.

Two versions of the Kraken will be released: one with the microphone, and one without. Both will go on sale in September, priced at $80 and $60 respectively.
