Blurry images do not shed light on chosen processor
Following on the heels of several alleged iPhone leaks, several photos published by Chinese site Sina are claimed to show the logic board for Apple's next-generation smartphone. The slightly blurry images appear to be taken before the board has made its way through the manufacturing process, lacking shielding but without providing visual confirmation of the chosen processor.
The image source claims the board integrates an A5X system-on-a-chip, similar to what is found in the third-generation iPad, though the specs have yet to be independently corroborated. Reports from early in the year suggested Apple may have been testing the A5X chip in the iPhone 4S body.
Separate leaks suggest the next iPhone may be unveiled as early as September 12, with availability beginning on September 21, though all details remain unconfirmed. [via MacRumors]
