Telenav lets developers embed HTML5 shortcut for navigation

Telenav is giving website developers a new option to quickly navigate to places such as businesses and restaurants. It is providing a way to link from a site to its free HTML5-based navigation service through a dedicated button. This is called the Scout Drive Button and was already available for iOS devices.

It is now available for Android and Windows Phone devices and includes a browser-based, voice-guided turn-by-turn GPS navigation directions. The button can also be integrated into apps. The website or app's own brand will be retained as well during navigation.

Telenav promises to allow developers to monetize content with ad-enabled APIs in the future as well. [via SlashGear]
