JBL adds Jembe Wireless Bluetooth speakers to lineup

JBL has added a Bluetooth-ready version of its Jembe desktop speakers to its lineup. Although removing the need for a wire from the paired Bluetooth device, the new Jembe Wireless still requires a wired power supply that also powers an on-board power amplifier. To help ensure the best possible audio quality, the speakers incorporate Harman's TrueStream tech that ensures the speakers run the latest and most optimized software.

To help pump up the bass sound, JBL has incorporated its 'Slipstream' port technology designed to generate a deeper bass response than might be expected of speakers this compact. The speakers also include a 3.5mm headphone jack, while JBL promises that they are mobile enough to be tossed into a bag. Output is rated at 20W maximum, while frequency response is listed at 80Hz-20kHz.

The JBL Jembe Wireless is currently in stock on the JBL website and is retailing for $99.
