Nokia brings Belle Refresh to its Symbian-powered phones with HTML5 browser, more
Nokia's Belle Refresh update for Symbian-powered phones has just began being sent out, the company revealed on its forum on Monday. The first unlocked handsets to get it will include the Nokia N8, E7, C7, C6-01, X7 and Oro. It will then be sent out to handsets in various countries that are locked to various providers.
The update will bring some new features to the handsets, including an HTML5 web apps-compliant browser, new homescreen widgets, and the Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0. The N8 alone will also benefit from new apps for imaging, though no more details are revealed about them.
The E6 will begin to receive the update later on this week, while the 500 software bump is scheduled to come within the next few weeks.
Nokia does warn that some apps may not work with the updated software due to compatibility issues. [via MyNokiaBlog]
