Jabra's portable Solemate is rugged, gets Bluetooth and 3.5mm cable

Jabra, maker of audio accessories, has just introduced the Solemate portable speaker. It can connect to a number of sources thanks to its 3.5mm audio input, USB port, or wirelessly through Bluetooth 3.0. The rubber sole hides a 3.5mm cable, which is included.

There are three speakers onboard, along with two tweeters for reproducing high frequencies. The speaker can also be used as a speakerphone as it has a built-in microphone. The battery is said to offer up to 10 hours of music playback on a full charge.

The speaker can produce up to 120dB of SPL at half a meter away.

Jabra teamed up with ClubCreate, which is a social platform for creating and sharing music legally. Through this collaboration, users can share their tracks over the Solemate.

The Solemate will cost $200 when it ships on September 2. It will be available in either black or white.
