ZTE Grand X is the first with an Atom Z2460 CPU from the Chinese company

At IFA, ZTE unveiled a refreshed Grand X smartphone that sports a 1.6GHz Atom Z2460 processor, which is a first for the Chinese phonemaker. The preloaded OS is Android 4.0. The other technical specs carry over from the original phone, including its 4.3-inch, 960x540 touchscreen and eight-megapixel rear camera capable of recording 1080p videos.

Otherwise, the freshened up device supports HSPA+ data download speeds up to 21Mbps. There is 1GB of RAM onboard, along with up to 16GB of built-in storage expandable with a microSD card slot. Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, DLNA, and Mobile HD link over a micro USB link are all present. Finally, a 1,650mAh battery powers the device.

The phone will arrive in European stores starting in September, though pricing hasn't yet been announced.
