Ascend G600 smartphone with 4.5-inch screen, 1.2GHz CPU coming in September
Chinese phonemaker Huawei has just released its latest smartphone, the Ascend G600. It sports a large, 4.5-inch IPS LCD with 960x540 resolution and runs on Android 4.0. Processing power comes from a Qualcomm, 1.2GHz, dual-core processor paired with 768MB of RAM.
A pair of DTS surround sound-capable speakers sit out back. There is also an eight-megapixel camera with auto focus on the rear. A large-capacity, 1,930mAh lithium polymer battery provides up to 15 days of standby time and is said to be capable of being fully charged in just four hours. Huawei said it can power on in just five seconds.
Onboard storage is limited to 4GB, but a microSDHC memory card slot lets owners add up to 32GB more. Other features include Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, DLNA media support, NFC, and a micro USB port.
The handset is due to arrive in some, unspecified markets in September, though prices haven't been revealed. Available colors will include black or white. [via SlashGear]
