Device features enhancements to simplify rookie DJ mixing
The professional sound and visual division of Pioneer Electronics USA debuted its most affordable DJ controller to date, the DDJ-WeGO. The compact system is intended to allow creative mixing of users' own music on a budget. The unit is available in five body colors-- white, black, red, green, and violet. A multi-color LED backlight for the jog wheel as well as the user interface of the bundled Virtual DJ software can be color customized.
Pulse control provides users with visual prompts to enhance mixing songs -- the mix pulse shows the difference pitch for the currently-playing songs through the pulse of the light of the jog wheel. The included Virtual DJ Limited Edition for Mac OS X or Windows by Atomix productions allows users to mix, make loops, create samples, and gives the ability to mix up to four channels. The device has the capability to support other software, and currently supports Algoriddim's djay software package.
The DDJ-WeGo will be available in September with a retail price of $399.
