Nokia September 5 launch event spoiled with Lumia 920, 820 leaks
Nokia's September 5 Windows Phone 8 launch plans have been spoiled by what appears to be an authentic press shot of its next-generation flagship handset. The Lumia 920 is set to be the standard bearer for the Finnish smartphone maker and is said to sport a dual-core processor centered on a large 4.5-inch display. However, helping to greatly boost its appeal, the device also appears to sport Nokia's vaunted PureView camera technology.
The PureView photographic tech first debuted on the otherwise forgettable 808 PureView smartphone. The 41-megapixel camera on the device is so powerful and capable that Nokia even shot the ad for the original handset with the 808 PureView itself. Little else is known about the device this time.
Also making an appearance is another forthcoming Lumia handset purported to be the Lumia 820, also known as the Nokia Arrow that is expected make an appearance on the AT&T network as well as T-Mobile. The new Windows 8 device is said to center on a 4.3-inch display and carries a rear camera featuring Carl Zeiss optics.
Nokia is expected to reveal all at its September 5 event, although is not known if the company has any surprises left in store. It is possible that it may enter the tablet space, although no images have yet surfaced of any Nokia-branded tablets at this time.
