Lenovo announces three new Android tablets

S2110, A2107, A2109 to run Android 4.0


At IFA last week, Lenovo announced three new additions to its Ideatab line of tablets. The Ideatab S2110, A2107, and A2109 range from seven to 10 inches, and each runs Android 4.0. The new tablets will be going on sale between now and the fourth quarter of this year.

The Ideatab S2110 is a 10-inch slate that measures 0.34-inches thick and weighs 1.27lb. Its IPS screen has a 178-degree angle and supports 10 points of touch input. It also features a Micro-HDMI port, enabling 1080p Full HD viewing on an HDTV. In addition to its 5MP, auto-focusing rear camera with LED flash, it has a 1.3MP front-facing camera,1GB RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a keyboard dock that, when attached, doubles the device's battery life to 20 hours. It also features an SD card reader and USB ports enabling it to connect to peripherals.

The Ideatab A2107 and A2109 measure seven and nine inches, respectively. Th A2107 has two speakers, a microSD card, Bluetooth 4.0, a built-in FM radio, 720p HD resolution, and up to 10 hours in battery life. A Wi-Fi model is available, as well as a 3G version with A-GPS capability.

The A2109 features a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPU and graphics card, four-point capacitive display with 1280x800 resolution, and 1080p output capability through a micro-HDMI port. It also features two speakers with SRS TruMedia audio, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and a 3MP rear-facing camera. The A2109 will come with GPS capability, a Micro USB port, and up to 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 32GB with a microSD card.

Lenovo's Ideatab A2109 and S2110 are now available at $299 and $399, respectively. The A2107 will be available later in 2012.
