Windows 8 tablet's specs confirmed as it goes through FCC testing

Sony's Duo 11 hybrid ultrabook that was introduced at the IFA show in Germany at the end of August has now appeared at the FCC. This means the 11.6-inch convertible tablet is nearing its on-sale date. At the same time, the listing confirms some of its earlier specs.

They include Windows 8 onboard, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, a GPS sensor, and a stylus. The device should also be available with a Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 processors. Only SSDs will serve for storage, though it's still unclear whether a 3G or 4G radio will be available in any model, at least at launch.

Pricing remains unknown, but the tablet is likely to arrive in North American stores late in October, or around the same time as its debut in Europe. [via UberGizmo]
