Nintendo reveals US, EU launch details, TV for Wii U

US console gets video streaming, earlier launch
Nintendo has laid out its plans for the Wii U release in the US and Europe. Release dates and prices were discussed in both events, however the US and Canada will also have several applications for streaming video to the console, under the banner of "Nintendo TVii."
Apps for Hulu Plus, Amazon Video, and TiVo will be included as part of a "personalized programming guide", using the Wii U controller for primary navigation. Multiple profiles can be created, with each having a customized list of TV channels and programming.
The console packages on offer stay the same as the Japanese announcement, namely two versions with different colors, sizes of memory, and included accessories. Buyers of the premium option will also receive Nintendo Network Plus, netting a 10 percent discount off the price of downloads. The basic bundle will cost $300 in the US, while the Deluxe will be $350. In Europe, the packages have not been priced, with Nintendo saying it will be determined by individual retailers.
The Wii U will reach the US on the 18th of November, 20 days before Japan, and 12 before Europe's release on November 30th.
