Low-budget option aimed at younger photographers
Lensbaby has released a more affordable version of its creative lens system, geared towards younger photographers. The Spark, for both Canon and Nikon DSLRs, lets users focus on a specific area of the frame, allowing the photographer to perform some creative shots using a manually-controllable artistic blur.
Focussing can be performed by squeezing the lens, and has a range of between 13-inches and infinity. The lens can then be tilted, in order to move the focus "sweet spot" around the image. It has a focal length of 50mm, a fixed aperture of f/5.6, and is also compatible with all other Lensbaby 37mm threaded accessory lenses.
The Lensbaby Spark is on sale now for $80.
