Stylus expands, attaches to tablets

Wacom today announced the availability of its new Bamboo Stylus pocket, a new stylus designed for portability. The new pocket stylus collapses, making for easy stowing in a pocket, and it attaches directly to iPads and Android tablets. The new stylus is also compatible with the Bamboo Paper - Notebook app for iPads.

The Bamboo Stylus pocket features a soft conductive rubber tip that can be swapped out for a firmer nib. It measures 0.47-inch in diameter, 3.52-inch when collapsed, 4.65-inch when extended, and weighs 0.57oz. It's constructed from crafted aluminum, with exchangeable color rings for personalization. The Bamboo Stylus pocket also features a headphone jack plug on its cap, allowing users to directly attach the Stylus to a tablet or smartphone.

The Bamboo Stylus pocket is available now for $35 at Wacom's site.
