iPhone 5 shipping times slow to 3-4 weeks

Some countries still at 2-3 week mark

iPhone 5 shipping times have extended to three to four weeks in the US, Canada, and Australia, checks of the online Apple Store show. More recently Apple was quoting two- to three-week delays. Some countries' storefronts are in fact still showing 2-3 week times, including France, Germany, and the UK.

Apple ran out of launch-day shipments almost immediately after opening preorders last Friday, forcing people to turn to carriers and various third parties, at least some of which have also run out of preorder stock. At this point the best bet for getting on iPhone before October is likely waiting in line at a store the morning of September 21st, or any following day a store receives more shipments.
