Cameras have 200-foot range, 50-foot at night

Samsung has decided to put two new video security systems on the market. The SDE-4003 and SDE-5003 are all-in-one CCTV kits, boasting a set of high-resolution indoor and outdoor cameras with night vision, a digital video recorder, and the ability to remotely access the system through a web browser or mobile apps for iOS and Android.

The weather-resistant cameras have a range of up to 200 feet away from the central DVR, and connect with BNC cables. Night vision is provided by infrared LEDs, which provide up to a 50 feet range for low light or nighttime viewing. The DVR allows for up to eight inputs, lets ten users connect remotely, and records all video in H.264. E-mails can also be sent on important events, such as the loss of a camera or detected motion.

The SDE-4003 costs $600, and comes with four cameras and 1TB of storage. For $900, the SDE 5003 doubles the camera count to eight, and ups the storage to 2TB.
