iPhone 5 teardown pictures surface
German site iPhone-Garage has somehow received an iPhone 5 unit and set about disassembling the device to reveal its internals. The site posted images of the teardown process, which reveals little that was not previously known about the device. It is notable that the site somehow acquired one of the new iPhones, though no information is available on how exactly the site's authors went about doing so or if the images came from another source.
RIM's L-Series BlackBerry 10 device torn down
RIM's forthcoming BlackBerry 10 touchscreen smartphone doesn't yet have a definitive release date, but images of the device being disassembled have surfaced online. Vietnamese site BisVN has acquired shots of the L-Series BlackBerry 10 handset, showing off its form factor and giving a few hints as to its capabilities and specifications.
The L-Series is said to feature a full capacitive touchscreen, a dual-core processor, and an IPS display. It also has a front camera with group video chat capability and the ability to see the screen of the person a user is chatting with. The rear camera features an auto-focus function and an array of photo editing capabilities and shooting modes.
The device's form factor is somewhat similar to the iPhone 5, though it is possible that this will change somewhat by the time it is released. RIM has said that the new BlackBerry 10 devices -- this touchscreen model and another with a hardware QWERTY keyboard -- will release early next year, but has given no definite dates.

Doesn't that perimeter antenna design look exactly like the iPhone 4/4s/5 implementation? Isn't that a patent that was just awarded to Apple?
