Asha 309 may launch tomorrow
Nokia may launch as many as two new handsets in its Asha line of smartphones as early as tomorrow. The images showed up in a forum post on Baidu, and they appear to show two distinct models in the Asha style. The source that leaked the images claims that the Finnish phone maker will be launching the devices in the very near future, as early as tomorrow.
The handsets shown off in the images are thought to be the Asha 306 and 309. Both models appear to sport a 3-inch touchscreen and a 2MP camera. An instruction manual for the 306 leaked earlier this year, showing that the device will have a simplified user interface with a pull-down notification bar like those found in Android and iOS-powered phones.
The two phones are believed to be bound for the Chinese market, where the Asha line helps Nokia compete in the budget and entry-level smartphone sector. [via Ubergizmos]
