Upcoming Verizon smartphones outlined

Vellamo, a tool for benchmarking mobile browser performance on Android devices, has been updated with a CPU performance test. The new Metal Chapter test measures the subsystem performance of mobile processors through a collection of click-and-go tests. Vellamo can now rate scrolling and zooming, 3D graphics, video performance, peak bandwidth performance, and more. An overall performance score is provided to users at the end of the test, which can then be uploaded and comported to the scores of other devices.

Leaked document outlines upcoming Verizon smartphones

Late last week Phone Arena received a document that supposedly lists upcoming Verizon smartphones. Among the listed devices is the HTC Droid Incredible X, LG Spectrum II, Nokia Lumia 920, and HTC Windows Phone 8X. Additional details show the Droid Incredible X launching in November with a 5-inch display, quad-core processor, and LTE connectivity. Verizon also appears to be preparing to support a BlackBerry 10 device in Q1 of 2013.
