Over half would switch to iPad Mini if released
A survey claims that nearly half of Americans are "unimpressed" by the Kindle Fire HD. The study of 2,103 people conducted by CouponCodes4U saw 45-percent dismissing the updated tablet, while 55-percent claimed to like the look of it. Of the unimpressed, 45-percent preferred a "larger screened tablet", 39-percent said it didn't match up to competitors, and 11-percent claimed it was the lack of apps.
When asked if the Kindle will hold their interest if the iPad Mini suddenly was released, 39% said it would, 54-percent would jump ship to the Apple tablet, and 7-percent would "consider" both tablets.
Owners of a 7-inch tablet made up 53-percent of respondents. Of those already owning a tablet, 45-percent owned an iPad, 19-percent owned the Google Nexus 7, 16-percent for a Samsung-branded device, and 13-percent owned one made by Amazon. [via BGR]
