Wi-Fi, 3G, October 11 announcement expected
Samsung appears to be readying to release another entry in its Galaxy line of devices, this time a music-oriented handheld with forward-facing speakers. Images of the Galaxy Music leaked to Telekom-Presse, showing off the forthcoming device as well as its likely specifications. The images show off a device with middling specs, but one that may be well positioned to address the music lover market.
The Galaxy Music will actually come in two forms: the Galaxy Music and the Galaxy Music DUOS. Both models will feature 3-inch, 320x240 QVGA LCD screens and pack 4GB of internal memory, expandable with a microSD card up to 32GB. They will both run Android 4.0, and there is no word on a possible upgrade to version 4.1. The DUOS will be dual-SIM version of the regular Galaxy Music.
Inside, both models will have an 850MHz A9 processor and 512MB of RAM. They will come preinstalled with Samsung's ChatON and Music Hub 2.0, a full service portal for streaming music downloads, playlists, recommendations, and sharing. Users will also have access to Google's Play Store for other players and music portals. There is, as yet, no information on pricing and availability.
