Maingear introduces Nomad 17 customizable gaming notebook

Price includes custom automotive paint job


Maingear has put a new 17-inch custom notebook up for ordering. The Nomad 17 gaming notebook aims to support its high-specification internals with a choice of six sleek "custom automotive paint jobs," a full HD 1080P matte display, multi-touch trackpad with gesture support, and dual speakers with a built-in subwoofer.

Inside, it can take up to a third generation Intel Core i7 processor running at 3.8GHz, options for either Nvidia GeForce GTX 675M or 680M graphics, Blu-ray drive, up to two 512GB SSDs or dual 750GB 7200RPM hard disks, and up to 32GB of RAM. Connections for HDMI, DVI-I, Fire Wire, and Ethernet are all present, along with two USB 2.0 and three USB 3.0 ports.

The Maingear Nomad 17 starts from $1,600 depending on loadout, and will ship from October 14th.
