Behringer serves up the iNuke Boom Junior for music lovers
Behringer has taken the wraps of its iNuke Boom Junior for legacy iOS devices. The device is a scaled down version of its one-off, 10,000-Watt iNuke Boom that raised eyebrows earlier this year at CES and had to be transported on the back of a truck. Behringer claim that the three-way active design delivers ‘concert-quality sound’ with enough power for parties.
The iNuke Boom incorporates two one-inch tweeters, two three-inch midrange speakers and one 5.25-inch subwoofer that produces a peak output of 50 watts. It weighs in at 10.6 pounds, and ships with a remote control and two audio cables along with a power cord. To celebrate the launch, Behringer is giving away on iNuke Boom each weekday in October. To have a chance, users who visit its Facebook site and hit the ‘Like’ button will be automatically entered into the giveaway.
The iNuke Boom is available through Costco for $180. It is compatible with 30-pin adapter-equipped iOS devices including the iPhone 4S, 4, 3GS, the iPad 1, 2 and 3 as well as the iPod touch, Nano and Classic (5th generation).
