Optimus L9 features 4.5-inch screen, 4G connectivity

LG and T-Mobile announced today that the LG Optimus L9 would be coming to T-Mobile's network. The 4G-capable smartphone features a 4.5-inch qHD display and has improved battery life allowing it to take fuller advantage of T-Mobile's 4G network. The phone also features a number of LG-specific apps designed to take advantage of its large screen.

Underneath its 4.5-inch qHD Corning Gorilla Glass 2 display, the L9 packs a 1GHz dual-core processor running Android 4.0. It has Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, as well as 802.11b/g/n/a. When in areas with weak cellular coverage, the L9 can make and receive calls through a Wi-Fi network.

The L9 has a 5MP camera with LED flash that is capable of recording video in 1080p. It also features an array of software, including LG QuickMemo, which allows users to add commentary, notes, and drawings to screenshots. It also packs a 2150mAh battery allowing for hours of Internet use, chatting, music listening, and video, as well as calls.

The LG Optimus L9 will be available on T-Mobile's network this fall. The network has given no further details on pricing or availability.
