ECOXGEAR Bluetooth speaker is rugged, waterproof, and floats
ECOXGEAR launched its latest Bluetooth speaker, the ECOXBT. The rugged accessory is 100 percent waterproof and floats, so it's suitable to bring along on camping trips. It's IPX7 certification allows it to be submerged at up to one-meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
The built-in lithium battery is said to operate for up to 10 hours of continuous music playback and the device can connect to any Bluetooth A2DP device. It also doubles as a speakerphone for conference calls.
It houses two full-range speakers, though their wattage rating isn't specified. The speaker weighs 1.5lbs and also houses a waterproof headphone jack. It is recharged using a USB cable.
The speaker is now shipping, priced at $130. It's available in black, red, or orange.
