No ban possible until appeal concludes
A Seoul court has granted an Apple motion to delay a sales ban that would prevent some iPhones and iPads from being sold in South Korea, Bloomberg reports. The decision is actually said to have been made last month, but went largely unnoticed. Samsung, meanwhile, hasn't yet attempted to fight a connected ban on some of its Galaxy devices.
The postponement of the iPhone/iPad ban is effective only until the outcome of an appeal. If it goes through, the ban will only affect several older Apple products, namely the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1, and iPad 2. The 3GS is no longer on sale from Apple, and the iPad 1 is only available as a refurbished item.
