Leaked T-Mobile timeline spills launch date
HTC's forthcoming Windows Phone 8X appears to be heading for a November 11 launch, according to what appears to be a leaked inventory screen from T-Mobile. The screen was discovered by TmoNews, and it shows a timeline of forthcoming T-Mobile releases. In addition to the Windows Phone 8X, the screen shows a number of other devices from manufacturers including LG, Samsung, and Huawei. The leak also appears to reveal a previously unknown Samsung device called Toba, though it gives no information on whether it is a smartphone or tablet.
The 8X is slated for a November 11 launch, and it will -- if the screen can be believed -- be accompanied on that date by the Dell BMW, which is thought to be a new Windows 8 laptop. The BlackBerry Armstrong is slated to launch on October 24, with Samsung's Galaxy S II Color Refresh following five days later and Huawei's Summit coming at the end of October. Other launches include the LG Optimus L9, slated for October 31
The Samsung Toba device, slated for a November 7 release, is one point of mystery in the leaked screen. Samsung has made no announcements of any devices named Toba, and the South Korean manufacturer has already largely laid out its plans for its Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Note 10.1, and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, as well as both its Windows and Android smartphones. The Toba could be any number of devices, though, as Samsung is known for releasing a wide array of gadgets over a relatively short span of time.
