Mexican RIM rep shows off BB10 on L-series handset

While RIM officially outlined some features of its upcoming BlackBerry 10 platform earlier this week, Mexican RIM representatives are demonstrating the handsets to media. Specifically, an L-Series handset running on the BlackBerry 10 operating system was demonstrated in a near five minute-long video, offering the best look yet at a working version of the OS. Unfortunately, no specs or other information is revealed about the hardware itself.

The video was captured by HolaTelcel and is embedded below, though it has since been made private. It takes a look at the handset's 'best shot' feature that will help users select the clearest and otherwise best image. The virtual keyboard also offers suggestions to finish off words and speed up text entry.

The handset sports a long, thin design with matte black plastic around the bottom and top with rounded edges. A leak from June had the phone sporting a 768x1280 display. It is expected to be the first device released with the new OS.

The handset in this video, along with other BlackBerry 10 devices from RIM, are said to launch in the first quarter of 2013, with many hedging their bets on the start of March. [via N4BB]
