Incremental update brings a few UI changes

An over-the-air update to Android 4.1.2 is reportedly now available for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S. Some owners of the device report receiving notification of the update today, and others can check if the update is available for their devices yet by going to the System Updates section under Settings. The update is an incremental one, bringing a few modifications to the user interface.

As Engadget details, the update doesn't alter the behavior of the OS on the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S as much as it does for owners of Google's Nexus 7. On that device, the update brings the ability for the home screen to rotate into landscape mode, a feature that has been absent since the Nexus 7 debuted.

For the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S, the update will bring the ability to collapse and expand notifications with one finger instead of the two-finger gesture that is currently the standard on Jelly Bean. It also brings a few stability increases and bug fixes.
