updated 02:29 pm EDT, Mon October 15, 2012

Optimus G, Optimus LTE2, Optimus Vu to get Jelly Bean

LG announced today the timeline on which some of its devices will receive an upgrade to Android 4.1, the latest version of Google's operating system. The update covers LG's Optimus G, Optimus LTE2, Optimus Vu, and Optimus Vu 2. Those devices are scheduled to receive an update to version 4.1 Jelly Bean between now and the end of the first quarter of 2013, though there is the possibility that American models of those devices will see some delay due to carrier restrictions.

The Optimus LTE2 will get an upgrade to 4.1 in November, and the Optimus G is scheduled to receive one in December. The Optimus Vu and Vu 2 are scheduled to receive updates in Q1 2013.
