MG priced at $150 until November 4, first batch ships early next month

An upcoming portable games console that goes by the MG moniker (for More Gaming) can now be pre-ordered for $150 until November 4. The 4-inch device uses a 1GHz Cortex A5 processor along with 1GB of RAM and can access Google Play to download software. While there is just 4GB of built-in storage space, an 8GB microSD card is included.

The microSD card slot will also accommodate cards up to 64GB in capacity. Preloaded onto the device will be 11 games so kids can start playing right out of the box.

Standing up to the abuse of the kids it's aimed at, the MG's screen is covered by Gorilla Glass. Users also face a 1.3-megapixel camera. The 1,880mAh battery promises 3.75 hours of play time, which isn't that much considering its target audience.

The makers of the MG tried, unsuccessfully, to fund their project on Kickstarter, but brought it to market without the public-funding website.

After November 4, the price of the MG will go up to $170. Those who order it before then can expect to get it during the first week of November.
