Update also adds Google, Twitter, Facebook authentication

Earlier today, an update was issued to Windows Azure Mobile Services, Microsoft's scalable cloud backend. Added to the software is full iOS support, authentication support with Facebook and Google credentials, SMS and email support, amongst other changes. The most significant addition to the service is the iOS support.

Documentation included with the Azure allows for cloud storage integration with iOS applications for the data storage service. Facebook, Twitter, and Google authentication methods have been added to supplement the Microsoft Account credential procedure. SMS and e-mail support has been added through Microsoft's partnership with SendGrid and Twilio.

All enhancements are available for use immediately. According to the posting, .NET 4.5 support for Azure websites is expected to be added by the end of the week.
