Notebook planned by female Fujitsu employees

Fujitsu is launching a range of female-oriented Ultrabooks in Japan. Called Floral Kiss, the range hopes to "bring elegance to PCs", and was planned and developed primarily by female Fujitsu employees. The Windows 8 notebooks will be made available in three colors: Elegant White, Feminine Pink and Luxury Brown.

Internally, it is confirmed to use a 3rd generation Intel Core i5 processor with 4GB of RAM, and has 500GB of hard disk space. Externally, the feminine-aesthetic is extended to included accessories and the power adaptor. The diamond-cut power status LED and Caps Lock key are decorated for a supposed sophisticated look, and matches the gold rings framing keys on the transparent keyboard. It is also claimed that the flip latch to open the display was included for "users with long fingernails."

Preinstalled onto the Floral Kiss will be a number of custom applications specifically for the notebook. A scrapbook will automatically store and organize links and images from online stores and other locations, which can then be used to create theme-based collages or to compare individual stores and products. A diary will store Facebook and Twitter posts alongside photographs downloaded to the computer in chronological order, while a horoscope app will offer the current and next day's readings.

The Floral Kiss will go on sale in Japan from November 2nd, with a special edition in association with the agete jewelry brand set for November 29th. It is unlikely to have a US release.
